Sentence to Service/Community Service (STSCS)
This program will allow individuals who are sentenced to serve time in our Jail the ability to pay off their pay-to-stay fines along with working off any community service hours. STSCS also allows individuals in the community opportunities to fulfill any community service hours they may have. Prior to starting the STSCS program, you are required to complete an application along with completing a UA drug screening.

Work Release / Huber
If you are sentenced to serve time in the Wilkin County Jail with authorized Work, School or Treatment release privileges, please report to the Correctional Facility directly after court or call the Jail to receive the necessary paperwork. If you fail to set this up at least 48 hours in advance, your release privileges may be delayed.
I.G.N.I.T.E
This program is about bringing comprehensive education, career exploration, and employment opportunities exposing inmates to local job information, training materials, and life skills that they can utilize to help them succeed post incarceration.

Volunteers
Persons interested in volunteering in the Wilkin County Jail must request and complete a volunteer packet and interview with the Jail Administrator and programs coordinator. To register, contact the at 218-643-1205. Volunteers are a vital part of the Facility's programming. New program ideas are welcome.
Note: A background investigation will be completed prior to acceptance and volunteers may not be on probation.
Mental Health
The Wilkin County Jail has a Behavior Health Unit designed to accommodate individuals with mental health needs. Working in collaboration with Freedom Behavioral Health, Inc. The Correctional Facility will offer programming, therapy, screening, medication recommendations and discharge planning.
