Court Administration

The Court Administrator is an appointed position. The appointment is made by the majority of judges in the Eighth Judicial District. Judges are elected officials.


This office provides the following services:

  • Assists public in filing domestic abuse petitions and harassment petitions
  • Assists public in filing conciliation court claims
  • Issues summons, warrants, subpoenas and executions of judgment
  • Maintains and disperses restitution funds ordered by the Court in criminal matters for benefit of the victims
  • Collects and receipts - fees, fines, bonds and escrow funds
  • Maintains secure custody of all legal records, cash securities and court exhibits
  • Maintains safe custody of trust funds held for minors
  • Performs marriage ceremonies
  • Certifies to judgment searches

Additionally, all court matters are scheduled by the Court Administrator's Office.
