Stewardship Week

The Wilkin Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is encouraging all Wilkin County schools to join with the National Association of Conservation Districts in the April 27-May 4, 2025, observance of Stewardship Week.   

The purpose of the national observance, which began in 1955, is to create greater awareness among individuals of their stewardship responsibility to care for America’s natural resources. 

The Wilkin SWCD, works throughout the year to encourage soil and water conservation practices, encourages local schools interested in furthering good soil and water conservation practices in homes and communities to use the free stewardship materials.  Stewardship Week - NACD (nacdnet.org).   These materials can be used during classroom discussion.
