Position Objectives:
The Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time 911 Dispatcher. The candidate will be required to have a high school diploma. Other requirements are to have a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification. Applicants will be required to pass a background check.
The Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatcher/Jailer is responsible for answering all 911 calls and dispatching the appropriate responders, answering and monitoring all radio traffic on all talk groups, answering Breckenridge Police Department and Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office administrative phone lines, creating Initial Complaint Reports (ICR), and assisting correctional officers as needed.
Pay Grade: 5
2025 Salary Range: $24.86 per hour with career advancement up to $34.42/hr.
