Tax Payment Options

Use your Bank Bill Pay Option

Check with your financial institution to see if any fees are charged for bill pay services. Payments must be postmarked by the due date to avoid penalties. To add Wilkin County Auditor-Treasurer to your list of bill pay payees, please use the following:

Biller/Payee Name: Wilkin County Auditor-Treasurer

Account Number: Property ID number from your tax statement. Only enter one account number. A new bill pay payment must be set up to make a payment for an additional parcel.

Pay on the Internet

Pay your property taxes online with secure and convenient payment services through Point and Pay. Receive a payment confirmation to your email account. Available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week from the convenience of your home or office. Online payments must be processed by 11:59 p.m. on the due date to avoid penalties.

By eCheck For $1.50 per transaction, you can make your property tax payment by electronic check. Combine your tax parcels in the shopping cart and pay multiple parcels for the one fee.

By Credit Card You can also pay by credit card. A convenience fee will apply at the rate of 2.5 percent of the payment amount. Credit cards accepted are VISA, MasterCard and Discover.

Please follow the steps below to pay your property taxes.

    1. Click here for tax parcel information.

    2. Click to accept the terms and conditions provided within this disclaimer.

    3. Enter your Property ID Number and click search.

    4. Click the Property ID Number next to ____ (year) Tax.

    5. Click on the Tax Info tab at the top of the page.

    6. Click on Pay By Credit Card.

    7. Follow the steps as prompted to complete the online payment.

 

Pay by Mail

Mail your check and payment stub from your tax statement to: Wilkin County Auditor-Treasurer

You can also use the payment envelopes included with your property tax statement(s) mailed in March. Payments must be postmarked by the due date to avoid penalties.

 

Pay at our Counter 

The Wilkin County Auditor-Treasurer’s Office is located on the 1st Floor of the Wilkin County Courthouse in Breckenridge. Payments are accepted at our counter by cash, check, money order, or credit card. (Credit card charges will apply.)

 

Direct Payment Plan

You may sign up to participate in Wilkin County's Direct Payment Plan for Real Estate Taxes. Your checking or savings account will then be automatically debited the amount of your tax payment. You may enroll at any time; however, it is important that you enroll at least 3 weeks prior to an upcoming payment date in order to be included in direct payment for that date.
