Eligibility Process

Funding for individuals seeking substance use disorder services is available through the Behavioral Health Fund (BHF).  Eligibility for this funding is determined by income and family size.

An individual can access these funds by contacting Wilkin County Health & Human Services and requesting a referral for a Chemical Use Comprehensive Assessment. The Comprehensive Assessment will determine an individual’s level of substance use and recommend an appropriate level of care.

Wilkin County Health & Human Services does not provide Comprehensive Use Assessments in-house. Individuals requesting services will be referred to an outside agency to complete the assessment.

Individuals can also contact Wilkin County Health & Human Services at 218-643-7161 or 844-994-5546 with any questions they may have regarding substance use issues.
